'beat the rich' is here to take you on a journey through the diverse realm of (electronic) music. Each month a set of varying genres will be presented, either by a guest or the host petty criminal. One month it could be house, then afterwards maybe hardcore? Music conveys feelings and most feelings are valid (definitely not the xenophobic ones).

For the 4thepisode of ‘beat the rich’ I’veinvited the super amazing Philo from Cologne, now based in Vienna.

She has been releasing music for over 3 years now on Nice & Deadly, nonesuch, Stereo45, Defrostatica, Hardcore Energy, Basswerk and Miura Records.

Last year I had the opportunity to get to know her, because she and Luisa aka AINO gave a DJ workshop at Callshop Radio. I had alreadyheard some of her music and was eager to learn from her. I really love her style and she is a great person.

During the workshop she encouraged me a lot to be more self-confident and afterwards even asked me to do a guest mix for her radio show. I was hooked immediately and now I have my own radio show😊

I’mvery happy that she let me return the favor to deliver one hella juicy set for ‘beat the rich’, focussing on old school tribal and hardgroove techno.
